Buying A House/Refinancing? – Is Your Lawyer On The Bank List?

abode-987096_1280

Did you know that not all lawyers are able to represent all banks in a closing?  Lawyers must be on a bank’s approved list.  If they aren’t, the lawyer can represent you personally, but can’t represent the bank, which means you will likely pay a double fee.

Since the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau implemented the new TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID) on Saturday, October 3, 2015, many banks have taken lawyers off of their approved lists.  Eagan Donohue Attorneys at Law is proud that we continue to represent all of the banks that we’ve previously represented.  Below are a few of the banks that we are approved to represent.  Please feel free to email us if you don’t see your bank listed, as we are likely on its approved list.
